Hip Hop here in the states has unfortunately inspired me very little in the past couple of years so I think I need to move to France!-or maybe Japan. Damn!...They seem to be carrying the torch just fine over there don't ya think?!...Here's another inspirational release from across the pond. Mr Hone has taken on the difficult task of remixing two beloved Hip Hop classics via true school production skills and head wobbling beats. The first remix, "Special" resurrects Pete Rock & CL Smooth's, "Specialize" via a floating piano loop, (sounds like the same sample from Saafir's, "Can U Feel Me" from his Boxcar Sessions LP) horns, and bouncy drum programming. On the flip Mr Hone presents his remix of De La Soul's, "Itzoweezee" with a mellow beat laced with chimes, horns, and a thick bass line. Very nice stuff right here! Keep your eyes peeled for this one cause they are gonna go fast!Check the snippets on myspace @

Yeah I heard that Drum Brothers record. Not sure if I like the vocals all that much on that one though. Will probably buy a copy and check it out though.
