Edo G & Da Bulldogs Life Of A Kid...Demos EPs

Photobucket

Photobucket The Vinyl Reanimators were one of the premier production crews of the mid to late 90's releasing a number of quality records under various independent and major labels. Including their own Direct Records releases and white label remixes featuring such artists as De La Soul, Nas, Jeru, & A Tribe Called Quest among others. Those white label releases became highly sought after by DJs and collectors mainly because they were extremely limited promos and featured some of the dopest VR beats.
Now in 2008 Joe Mansfield (Vinyl Reanimators/Direct Records) has released an album filled with unreleased Edo G & Da Bulldogs material in the form of an LP called, "Edo G & Da Bulldogs, Life Of A Kid In The Ghetto, Demos & Rarities" on Direct Records. The LP is available here in the States, but these two EPs, numbers 1 & 2 are only available in Japan. What's so dope about these two records is that not only do they feature songs previously unreleased with the instrumental tracks, but they also shed some light on the early career, sound, and label politics of Edo G's early material. Which is definitely among his best work if you go back and listen to his first two LPs. Standouts include, "How It's Supposed To Be" feat. Krs One, and "Stay Funky #2". Very dope stuff!
