I'm really diggin the stuff coming out of Southern California right now-from PUTS, to The Sound Providers, to such groups and artists as Ugly Duckling, The EARL, The Upstarts, and even Son Of Ran who is really dope as well. Must be the water down there...Now Choice 37 has just released a new EP on Subcontact records featuring top notch production (& vocals) by himself as well as production by Freddie Joachim. Also lending their vocal talents on this new EP are, Aloe Blacc, BLU, Othello, Kero One, and some girl named El Gambina who kind of reminds me of Lady Bug Mecca from the Digable Planets. Nice stuff indeed. Highly recommended.
